If you want to play World of Warcraft in Fast Level mode, you have a few options open to you. First, you can spend the bucks and get an extra temporary account with the Refer A Friend program and get to 60 in a weekend. Of course, from 60 to 80 is back to normal speed.
Another option is to use the Bind on Account Items to get a 20% boost in XP — but you need a level 80 character to get those in the first place.
Another, more versatile method is to get a guide that tells you which quests to do in which order. I have always used guides because it makes my playing time more efficient. I don’t have time to play hours a day, so I need to make the most of my time.
But as useful as the guides have been, it has always been awkward to use them. Without dual screens, there is a lot of alt-tabbing back and forth to either the PDF document or Web site. Even with the dual screen, it would be awkward.
I have recently purchased the in-game guide by Zygor, and I have to say, I am loving it. A heads-up display much like Quest Helper, but unlike QH it actually tells you which quests you should pick up, and the real order you should do them in (not by a calculated shortest-path route). It has all the efficiencies of previous guides I have bought (plus some improvements), without the inconvenience of having switch back and forth between the game and the guide.
Below I have posted some videos explaining the best way to use Zygor’s guide. If you have not tried it yet, this should give you a good idea whether you think you will like it. If you have, then you will (hopefully) learn a little about how to configure the guide for your playing style.
The first video shows how to set the guide up:
And this one shows it in use:
And finally, a video showing the Zygor talent Advisor in use (this is a great bonus feature, by the way; I am doing a lot more damage than I was with any other build I have tried)
